An upcoming name in the scene, dancer-turned- DJ Bolo debuted his music career in 2012. Started out as a dancer in 2007, Bolo developed a deeper interest in the Hip Hop culture over years. This interest soon grew into a passion that is complementarily fueled by his strong attraction to funk and Hip Hop music, leading to the spark of his DJ journey. He may be new but he is no amateur. Being an active member in the local dance community has presented him many opportunities to spin for both domestic and international events; including Radikal Forze Jam and Lion City Throwdown. Till date, he has established himself in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia, Thailand and of course Singapore.
DJ Jumps, best known for his work with seminal Australian band The Cat Empire, has found himself occupying a unique position in the world of DJs and turntablists. After ten years oftouring the globe, Jumps has come into contact with musicians from many different cultures. In Melbourne, Barcelona, New York or Havana. Fusing this with his knowledge as a performer and as a listener, his music and style has been enriched and deepened by this journey. An appreciator of all good music, especially sounds driven by funky drums and percussion, DJ Jumps has dedicated himself to finding the best dance floor music from across the globe, with an emphasis on African and Latin rhythms.
Hailed as the “King of Battle Sound”, DJ Hiroking is an active name in both domestic and international dance events. His popularity amongst dancers credits to his exquisite mix of Hip Hop and Funk sounds, as well as array of old and new genres. Mighty 4 [USA], R16 [Korea], UK Champs [UK], IBE [Holland], United Styles [USA] etc.). His experiences and passion as a B-boy led him to find love in Salsa music, which eventually made him one of the top salsa DJs in Europe. An all-rounded DJ boasting a heavyweight vinyl collection of Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, rock solid B-Boy breaks and the toughest Salsa sounds, Timber is also known for his teaching and unique B-Boy workshops which offers a different perspective on the dance, an inspiring eye-opener for many B-Boys to not only the history of our music, but also to the application of music theory on their B-Boyin’.
A familiar name in the Singapore scene, DJ KoFlow is one of the distinguished DJs in the local scene. Debuted in 2001, his street cred is undeniable – backed by an extensive list of achievements in DJ competitions both local and international. Adding to that, KoFlow has performed alongside various international artists such as Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas, Missy Elliot, Nas, Akon and Grandmaster Roc Ralda; just to name a few. An influential force in his gifted craft, his uniquely versatile and all rounded performance style, this DJ/Turntablist is constantly in high demand in South East Asia and other big cities. He has travelled to Myanmar, Laos, Taiwan, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Australia, Kuala Lumpur, London, Indonesia and Bangkok to play at prestigious clubs and events.
Exposed to the Hip Hop culture since 2005 as a B-boy, DJ Slowz was introduced to the decks in 2009. Since then, he has built his name as a DJ and is profoundly known for his sounds in Funk, Soul and Hip Hop music. With his experience as a B-boy to complement his 7 years of DJ experience, Slowz has been invited to spin internationally at various prestigious dance events; such as Battle of the Year Malaysia 2015, On Air Jam in Germany, and most recently IBE 2016 in Holland.
Proud member of The Fonzarelli’s Crew and Sleng Teng Sound, Italian DJ /Producer Ake has accumulated an impressive portfolio since 2010. Endowed with flair in the sounds of Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall and House, Ake has spun at a great number of dance events including Street Life Jam for Adidas Originals, Juste Debout Italy, Break Ya Neck 2016 – Italy and Swiss Selections, Make Ya Move; and the list goes on. Having performed at numerous Italian clubs and parties, Ake also makes for an awesome party DJ. Feeding the crowd the best jams, the party doesn’t stop with Ake on the decks.
Started dancing since her teens, Xiao Mei has been dancing Hip Hop for 11 years. Her knowledge in the style enabled her to teach, building a strong following over the years. Additionally, she has a series of achievement which include placing and winning competitions such as Radikal Forze Jam, Floor the Love, Dance@live and Gshock Shock the World. Xiao Mei’s combined experience in Hip Hop dance brought a different perspective to the scene, which had her judging for both local and regional competitions.
A pioneer in the Singapore’s Bboy scene and representing Radikal Forze Crew, Bboy True Colors is one of the most respected bboy in the country. Profoundly known for his strong style and flavor in the dance, his influence extends beyond the local shores. Although he has taken a step back competitively, he continues to share his knowledge to younger generation.
Considered one of the pioneers in South Korea breaking scene, Tinoroc has been dancing for over 16 years now and he represents Max Crew, Floor Gangz World Wide and The Bronx Boys Rockin Crew Korea. As one of the forerunning bboys in Korea, Tinoroc focuses on imparting the knowledge the dance and the Hip Hop culture to the younger generation of Bboys and Bgirls in the country. Because of his profound knowledge and vast experience, Tinoroc not only teaches but has also been invited to judge at several large-scale events such as KOD.
One of second-generation poppers in China, Terry Boogie is a member of the Electric Boogie Family and disciple of Mr Wiggles. The Chinese popper is known for his style in Boogaloo and 52 block style. While he had several achievements under his belt competing with numerous high profile poppers, he remains humble and inspires his students to be the same. His reputation also made him the ambassador of two renowned events – “WE ARE THE FUTURE” international kids battle since 2010 and “THE WORLD DANCE GAME”WDG china international competition since 2012. Currently based in the USA, Terry has learnt from a great many OGs like Boogaloo Sam, Don Camplock, Flat Top, Boppin Andre, Popping Pete, Sugar Pop,and Mr. Wiggles.
Roxrite is acompetitive b-boy from San Diego, California. As of November 2014, he has won 85 titles including the UK B-Boy Championships (2005), R16 (2009), Red Bull BC One (2011) and Freestyle Session (2013). Roxrite’s technical ability as a dancer is demonstrated in his stick freeze combinations. Very well rounded and complex with his moves, His style is extremely strategic. Roxrite does take great pride from the dance education he obtains while living in California. His motto, “Skills talk, no hype needed” defines his desire to continually represent the bboy movement the right way.
A master of footwork, Profo Won is the president of the US chapter of Floor Gangz. Partly because of his Filipino heritage, Profo Won is one of the most influential bboy in the Philippines. He inspired several young bboys and bgirls, pushing them on a continuous learning growth, as he does for himself. He always in search to learn more about the culture and dance, talking to OGs and other bboy pioneers in different countries. This allows him to see and judge the dance from a wide, open perspective.
Representing Seven Dollars Crew, Pepito has been breaking since 2001. A Bboy whose style is influenced by Salsa dance, House music and other elements of the Hip Hop culture, Pepito has won competitions. This includes a three-time champion title in the Australian Bboy Championship. He has also represented Australia at the UK Bboy championships world finals in 2007. Pepito has also received the ‘Cypher King’ award at both Freestyle session Australia and Rockafellaz 5th Anniversary in Poland. Having competed and performed in countries such as in the United States, Switzerland, Japan, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Greece, United Kingdom and Singapore, Pepito continues use dance and the Hip Hop culture as medium to inspire youths worldwide.
Wiggles is a proud member of FOUR major forces in HIP HOP and Funk Styles culture Rock Steady Crew, Electric Boogaloos and Zulu Nation and TC5 (the cool five) Writing Crew (graffiti crew). Mr Wiggles started his career as a dancer by battling throughout the tuff streets of New York City, and eventually throughout the world. Wiggles built his reputation as a battler, and eventually took his skills to major stages all around the world. Till today, the Hip Hop veteran is still honing his craft while inspiring the new generation. His rich experience always brings an insightful perspective to dancers all around the world.
Well known as a dancer in the ‘Step Up’ movie series, Mari Koda is a versatile dancer, with knowledge in various styles such as popping, locking, hip hop, salsa, and jazz. She is also trained in classic ballet. In a span of 13 years, Koda has done a lot– – she won first place on BET freestyle dance competition, danced for Jamie Foxx in the MTV Video Music Awards, appeared in music videos for various artists like Missy Elliot anf 50 Cent, and acted in a few movies and television series.
Representing MoLip, Elizabitch and W.O.W, Lip J is prominently known in the waacking scene worldwide since she emerged as the champion for Waacker’s Night 2013. Fusing elegance and style effortlessly with musicality, the Korean dancer has been dominating waacking battles around the world. Prior to her specialization in waacking, Lip J spent several years practicing other styles of dance, enabling her to possess a wide perspective of dance. This also supports her judgment for numerous events, including Hip Hop International, Waacker’s Night, Holiday in Waacking and All Asia Waacking Festival. Lip J has also gone on to conduct workshops domestically and internationally to inspire new dancers, in countries such as Russian, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and South Korea.
BBOY KATSU ONE has left a number of great results not only in Japan but also on the big stage all over the world. His continuous achievement has been a massive influence and inspiration in the bboy scene in Japan and throughout the world. A member of 4 prominent crews (ALL AREA JAPAN / 7$ / FRESH SOX / MZK / READY TO ROCK), Katsu stands as one of the best bboys in Japan. He is also the first Japanese B-boy to join the judging panel for the world’s longest establish Bboy series, Battle of The Year Finals 2015 and R16 World Finals. One of the most influential lockers in Asia, Yao Bai has accumulated immersive experience in the past 20 years that he has been dancing. Also well-versed in popping and Hip Hop, Yao Bai’s powerful locking style has placed him champion in countless locking battles. His accumulated street cred and diverse style allowed him to judge for a great many domestic events in Taiwan, as well as other locking battles in Asia. An inspiration to many lockers in this region, Yao Bai continuously improves his craft and versatility in other dance styles.
